The portfolio language determines the default nomenclature, which affects areas such as field and button labels. When you create a new portfolio, the portfolio language setting automatically matches the language in your user profile if that language is supported in ProjectSight. You can also select a different language in the setting later.
If the language in your user profile is supported in ProjectSight, that language is used for the default nomenclature when you work in the portfolio, regardless of the portfolio language setting.

You can create one portfolio for all your projects or create one portfolio for each project. In the latter setup, you must also add the companies and contacts in each portfolio.
To save time, you can use an existing portfolio as a template and copy selected information into the new portfolio. The following information can be copied:
- Settings: Portfolio-level settings are copied. If you only select this option, Users, Security Roles, Companies, and the portfolio name and company in the General settings aren't included.
- Users: Users, their dashboard widgets, their custom views, and their ad hoc report settings in the data view are copied. Security Roles and Companies are also included automatically.
- Security Roles: Security Roles and their permissions are copied.
- Companies: Companies, company contacts, company-related lookup lists, company-related custom fields, and default assignees are copied.

Notifications aren't sent to users when they're copied to the new portfolio.
