Search tips
- To search in a subset of topics, select
in the search field and select a filter. - To search for a specific word or phrase, add quotation marks around it (example: "budget column") in the search field.
- To remove highlighting on the search terms in a topic, select
. - To search within a topic, select
, press Ctrl+F, and enter the search term.

When you assign a specification set or specification to other people, they have access to it in the viewer.
Assignments are displayed in the notification center for 30 days.
To view the assignments in a specification set or specification
- Open the specification set or specification.
- In the Information panel, expand the Assigned To section.
To view the unlocked specification sets or specifications with open assignments
- Open the project home page.
- If the Assignments panel is closed, select
(Assignments). - In the By section, select the filters.
- Assigned To: The name of the assignee.
- Company: The company of the assignee.
- Record Type: The type of assigned item.
- Status: The status of the assigned item.
- Due Date: The due date of the assignment. If an assignment doesn't have a due date, the record due date, if available, is used.
- To open a specification set or specification from the panel, select one of the following:

(Open): Open the specification set or specification in the current tab. -
(Open): Open the specification set or specification in a new tab.
To send an assignment reminder
- In the module, select the specification sets or specifications, and then select
(Send) on the toolbar.
—Or—
On the assignment card, select 
(More) > Send Assignment Reminder.
Reminders are sent only for open assignments.
Adding assignments
In the Information panel of the specification set or specification, you can add assignments.
To copy the contact details
- In the Add Assignment dialog, hover over the profile picture or initials.
- In the contact popover, select the contact information that you want to copy.
The contact information is copied to your clipboard.
To add an assignment
- In the Assigned to section of the panel, select Add.
- Open the list of users, contacts, or distribution lists.
- To open the list of ProjectSight users, select Users.
- To open the list of company and project contacts, select Contacts.
- To open the distribution lists of contacts, select Distribution list.
- Select the checkbox for one or more names or distribution lists.
- To invite a member, select Invite member.
- In the Email field, enter or select the email address.
- From the Security role list, select a security role to make the new team member a ProjectSight user.
- In the First name and Last name fields, enter the name.
- In the Company field, select the company.
- Select Save.
- Select Done.
- To add a due date on the contact card, select Set a Due Date or
(Date), and then select a date.
Tip
To view all the contacts in the portfolio, select the Include portfolio contacts checkbox.
The list displays only project contacts or displays all contacts and users, depending on the portfolio setting for company and contact selection.
If you select the checkboxes for some names or distribution lists, and then enter a search term, those checkboxes remain selected even if they're not visible in the filtered list.
This option is available if you have permission to invite members.
If you select an existing email address, the contact's name, company and default security role are entered automatically.

Select None (contacts only) to make the new team member a project contact.
—Or—
Enter a new company name, and then select Add.
—Or—
Select Save & add another to invite another team member.
If the specification set or specification has a due date, that date is used as the assignment due date, but you can change it.
Editing assignments
To reorder the assignments
- In the Assigned To section of the panel, select the side of a contact card, and drag it to a different position.
Assignments don't have to be completed in this order.
To change the due date
- On the contact card, select (Calendar), and select the new date.
You can only change the due date for assignments that aren't completed yet.
To mark an assignment as completed
- On the contact card, select the checkbox.
Deleting assignments
You can only delete assignments that aren't done yet.
To delete an assignment
- On the contact card, select (More) > Delete.
This person will no longer receive notifications.
